“Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” – 2 Timothy 2:1-2 (NLT)

Band of Brothers

 What to Expect

Bands of Brothers is the men’s mentoring and discipleship program at Cedar Creek Community Church. This program is open to all men who desire to mentor or be spiritually mentored.
  • It doesn’t matter if you have zero background in church or knowledge of God, we welcome you to discover God.
  • OR If at some point in the past you began your spiritual adventure but you got side-tracked or stuck, we invite you to jump back in.
  • OR Perhaps you have been looking for an opportunity to pass on to other men what you’ve had the joy of discovering in your spiritual journey; we encourage you to become part of these Bands and seize the opportunity to love others.
The Goal is to provide every man at Cedar Creek, and all those men connected to the men at Cedar Creek, with an opportunity to connect with other men for spiritual encouragement and support as they fully follow Jesus.

How it Works

A man who is further along in his spiritual journey will be connected to one or two men who have expressed the desire to investigate or move forward in their spiritual adventure as a Band of Brothers When they first meet they will discuss various options for moving forward (materials provided) They will agree to meet regularly (minimum once every two weeks) for development and growth using the agreed upon resource(s) This journey will continue for a minimum of 1 year At the conclusion of 1 year the Band of Brothers will determine whether to continue to move forward together for another year or if the men who have been discipled feel ready to become a Band Leader of another Band of one or two men The original Band of Brothers will be encouraged to continue connecting informally for friendship and encouragement as schedules allow

How Do I Get Connected?

If you are interested in being in a Band or in being a Band Leader, please contact one of the men’s ministry team members or call the church office (519-624-8321).
